Where I’d spend your floral budget first

When couples ask how to make the biggest impact with their flowers, it’s rarely about more — it’s about where.

If I were prioritising, I’d always start here:
• Your ceremony — it sets the tone and lives on in your photographs
• Entrances & transitional spaces — staircases, doorways, welcome areas
• The top table — where all eyes naturally settle
• Then guest tables — considered, not overcrowded
• Hanging Installations - if your venue allows it’s always worth incorporating this to draw the eye up

Thoughtful placement really does change how a space feels.

One well-placed arrangement will always do more than lots of flowers spread too thin.

This way of designing keeps everything feeling intentional, elegant and personal — without adding things just for the sake of it.

Sophie wanted it to feel warm, romantic and elevated, so we leaned into garden-led florals and intentional details: gold cutlery to offset the glass taper candles, paired with crisp white, seasonal blooms to keep everything timeless and light.

This was one of my favourite weddings of the year. Many hours of preparation, every detail carefully thought through — all completely worth it seeing everything come together, and watching Sophie’s reaction on the day ✨

Day 18 – Discovery Calls ✨

We always suggest starting your journey with us with a discovery call.

It’s a relaxed chat where we talk through your ideas, your hopes for the day, and the overall vibe you’re dreaming of — making sure we’re on the same wavelength from the very beginning.

It also gives us both a chance to see if we’re a good fit for one another. After all, we’ll be working closely together and it’s important we get on and actually like one another 🤍

After our call, I go away and create a bespoke proposal, complete with a tailored moodboard.

This is where everything comes together — your ideas, my experience, and a clear vision for your day.

And more often than not, this is the moment couples just know they’ve found their florist ✨🌿

Day 17 – Florist Confessions 🌿😅

We will stress about your flowers like it’s our own wedding.

We notice flowers everywhere — petrol stations, supermarkets, random hedges.

We mentally plan weddings while lying in bed at night.
We’ll move a flower by half an inch and feel deeply satisfied.

And our van? Will never be clean. Ever.

We end up with greenery in our tea… and our bra.
We collect tiny scars on our hands from snips.

We become our couples’ agony aunt (and we wouldn’t have it any other way).

And when people say, “You’re just playing with flowers…”
Yeah — “just” that.

A two-year college course funded by myself, years of experience, constant training… and the know-how to quietly pull something extra together on the day — like dressing that table you forgot to mention — without missing a beat.

Messy. Emotional. Creative.
And I wouldn’t change it for the world 🤍🌿✨

Day 16 of Advent – Reuse & Repurpose Ideas

We’re all for getting more than one use out of your florals and styling.

My biggest advice?

Think about what you’d love for your ceremony and whether we can cleverly utilise it later in the day — usually on or around your tables.

It’s such an easy way to elevate everything that little bit more without increasing your budget.

For example, aisle meadows look absolutely stunning lining your ceremony aisle, and then after “I do” they can be repurposed in front of your top table, or placed at the ends of long trestle tables to add that gorgeous floral flourish.

Beautiful. Intentional. And always worth it.

Day 15 of Advent – Floral Myths Busted! 🌿✨

Let’s clear up a big one…

Greenery does not make your wedding cheaper.
Sorry to say it, but it’s true!

Over the years I’ve heard it so many times:
“Let’s go heavier on the greenery – it’ll be cheaper, right?”
Sadly… nope.

Greenery often works out the same price as flowers — sometimes even more.
Because we buy in bulk, I can’t just grab 3 stems here and there. I have to order full bunches (usually 10 stems per bunch), and the cost varies throughout the year.

But to give you an idea… one bunch is often the equivalent of a decent bottle of prosecco, or two M&S meal deals.
Not exactly a bargain bin buy 😅

So if you’re dreaming of a lush, garden-style, greenery-led vibe — amazing, go for it!

But choose it because you love the look… not because you think it’s cheaper.
Because honestly? It really isn’t.

Day 14 – A Moment That Made Me Proud This Year ✨

Honestly… every single wedding I’m part of makes me proud.

It’s such an honour to be chosen to help bring your day together, and that feeling never gets old.

We’ve had some absolutely gorgeous weddings this year — ones that truly reflect who we are and what we love creating.

And behind every email, proposal, flower order, stem count, late-night tweak, early-morning delivery and final flourish… it’s me.

Doing it all while juggling a young family, and somehow still showing up with my whole heart.

It’s not always easy, but I’m so proud of what we’ve built, what we create, and the couples who trust us with their day.

Day 12 of Advent– Throwback to a Dream Installation (…actually two 😅✨)
I couldn’t choose just one, so you’re getting both of these beauties today.

First up… Sophie & Nathan at Middleton Lodge 🤍
Sophie knew exactly what she wanted and fully trusted me to run with her idea — and honestly, that trust means everything. I still think about this set-up all the time… soft, romantic, and completely dreamy. Still not over it.

And then we have Anne & Tom at East Riddlesden 🌿

Anne wanted a full, wildflower-inspired arch — and she went for it. I’m so proud of how this one came together. I remember being so excited for Anne to see it for the first time… pure magic.

Two couples, two very different vibes, and I adored creating every single stem.

If I hadn’t signed up for that floristry course after art college (when I had absolutely no idea what I was doing with my life)…

I wouldn’t just have learnt floristry.
I learnt people — the good, the bad, the ugly.
I learnt how to hold my own, find my voice, and back myself.

I found the career, the confidence, and the community I didn’t even know I needed.

Let’s talk trends… and one I’m fully on board with for 2025 is fruit in florals.

Think grapes, plums, pears, apples, lemons, figs — all those gorgeous, textural little touches woven into arrangements.

I love the way it looks, the way it feels and the way it naturally flows through a design. It adds depth, richness and a tiny bit of drama in the most elegant way.

Happy 5th Wedding Anniversary to Blossom and Adam ❤️

They married at @bowcliffehall right in between lockdowns — finally able to say “I do” on their fourth attempt.

Restrictions meant they were only allowed a very small number of guests, everyone masked and spaced 2 metres apart. It was intimate, surreal and incredibly emotional.

I’ll never forget their wedding day. So much love, relief and joy in one moment.
